MGID Native Integration with Shopify

Introduction

The Native Integration with Shopify (one of the world’s leading e-commerce platforms)  is a conversion tracking feature in MGID Ads available under the "Native integration" tracking method. We offer a seamless, one-click alternative to manual setups. This integration simplifies the process by enabling automatic data transfer from Shopify stores to the MGID Ads dashboard for effective conversion tracking and optimization.

Shopify Native Integration is built to support all clients who use Shopify as their complete e-commerce platform, including both the storefront and checkout process.

Key benefits of Native Integration with Shopify:

  • MGID conversion tracking solution for Shopify-powered businesses: Shopify users can now fully leverage MGID's conversion tracking capabilities without technical difficulties.
  • Unlocking previously inaccessible tracking capabilities: some Shopify users have faced challenges in tracking conversions due to technical limitations, such as stripped UTM tags or the lack of Pixel implementation options. This integration removes those blockers, enabling precise conversion tracking even for businesses that previously found it impossible.
  • Streamlined setup process in comparison to other tracking methods: this integration assures a quick and straightforward setup for conversion tracking. It eliminates the need for complex workarounds, such as Google Tag Manager (GTM).

How to Enable Shopify Native Integration

To set up the integration, you would need to perform the following:

  • Select the Native integration tracking method and add Shopify integration.

  • Obtain a customized MGID code for Shopify directly from the MGID Ads interface (under the conversion tracking setup).

  • Then define which Shopify events you want to track and assign them as conversion goals in MGID Ads.

If you need to remove an existing integration from your MGID Ads setup, follow these steps:

  • Click on "Manage Integrations" to view your current integrations.
  • Click “Remove Integration” to delete it from your setup.

Alternatevly, instead of removing the integration completely, simply select another tracking method for the campaign in MGID Ads. This will stop Shopify-based tracking for that campaign. You can add it again anytime.
