Limits on Сreative

Introduction

Limits on creatives is a feature that enables setting constraints for each individual creative within a campaign based on either Budget or Clicks.

This functionality addresses the challenge of testing new creatives within the system without the risk of overspending when the outcomes are uncertain. It also clarifies budget allocation among creatives within a single campaign.

Accessing Limits Functionality

When you navigate to the list of creatives on the MGID Ads dashboard, you'll find a new column labeled 'Limits Daily/Overall.'

Clicking on a value in the column opens a side panel where you can adjust settings.

Managing Limits on Creatives

Here are several key tips for managing limits on creatives:

  • By default, all creatives are created without limits — set to Unlimited.
  • You can choose between setting a Budget limit or a Clicks limit in their respective tabs.
  • There is an option to set both daily and overall budgets either separately or simultaneously.
  • Try setting the budget for each creative individually or apply it to multiple selected creatives at once using bulk actions.
  • When copying creatives, the limits are not transferred to the new creatives.

If consumer demand is high, the total number of clicks on an ad may exceed the limit you set. MGID will stop showing ads once this amount is reached, but users can still click on them. As a result, you may be charged more.

Setting daily or overall limits higher than the campaign limit is possible. However, once the creatives hit the lower limit set by the campaign, they will be paused.

You can unlock a blocked creative due to reaching a limit, but it will automatically be blocked again in 1 minute. To keep it running, you must adjust the limit that was exceeded.

To prevent overspending, especially during peak demand times, it's advisable to set a lower limit than your desired spending amount when launching your creative.
