Postback Setup Algorithm
1.Add an advertising campaign to the MGID Dashboard.

2. Enter the parameter/macro in the custom UTM Tracking Tags section in the Dashboard:
- s2={click_id}
Save the changes.
It is important that the s2 you enter in our system corresponds to the same parameter in Binom tracker. This is, where the ready-made Postback link will be entered.
The final offer link will look similar to this:
http://mysite.com?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=MGID&utm_campaign=test+for+binom&utm_term={widget_id}&utm_content={teaser_id}&s2={click_id}
Here utm_medium, utm_source, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content are the UTM tags settings from ad settings.
Below is our Postback server address. For this address, you need to send the test conversions in the following format:
- https://a.mgid.com/postback?c={externalid}&e={cnv_status}123456&r={payout}
*123456 is a unique parameter for our system (e.g. campaign ID). This parameter will be transferred to our system alongside the status of the event.
- c (equal to our parameter/macro {click_id})
- e (equal to the lead status. If there are several of them, then this can be a status macro.
For example, lead status is “approved123456”, and the status macro is {cnv_status}
- r (an optional value of the product/client's income from one test conversion for a given goal. Numbers are allowed.)
For example, when a client makes a Postback for a purchase, he can set up the parameter r = revenue, and then, we accept it. We accept this parameter simply as an amount without reference to a currency, since the currency is automatically adjusted to the one in which the client works in our system.
Binom.org support can provide you with assistance in deploying and configuring the Binom tracker on the client's server.
3. Please add conversion stages 1 to 3 (Interest, Desire, Action) below in the Conversion sensors section. Please note, an existing or a new stage (goal) can be chosen, if desired.
Add a stage (goal) by clicking on the "Add stage" button [1].
Select the Postback tab [2].
Enter the Event Name [3]. If buy123456 is an example, the required value is taken from Binom.org.
- event — the triggered event name (new, approved, rejected)
More details are here
Optionally, you can indicate the conversion cost [4].
Copy the Postback receipt link on MGID’s side [5].
Save the settings [6].
Ultimately, the Postback link should resemble something like this:
- https://a.mgid.com/postback?c={externalid}&e={cnv_status}123456&r={payout}
*123456 is a unique parameter for our system (e.g. campaign ID). This parameter will be transferred to our system alongside the status of the event.
