Binom.org Tracker Integration

The instruction below covers tracker integration. If you want to check the partner’s documentation, please follow this link here.

Setup Algorithm on MGID side

1. Add an advertising campaign to the MGID Dashboard.

1
2. Enter the parameter/macro in the custom UTM Tracking Tags section in the Dashboard and save the changes:
  • s2={click_id}

 Binom_1

It is important that the "s2" you enter in our system corresponds to the same parameter in Binom tracker. The final offer link will look similar to this: https://mysite.com?s2={click_id}

3. Then turn on the "MGID conversion sensors" below. There will be our Postback server address. For this address, you need to send the test conversions in the following format:

https://a.mgid.com/postback?c={externalid}&e={cnv_status}123456&r={payout}

  * where "123456" is a unique parameter for our system (e.g. campaign ID). This parameter will be transferred to our system alongside the status of the event.

  •  c (equal to our parameter/macro {click_id})
  • e (equal to the lead status. If there are several of them, status macro {cnv_status} can be used)
  • r (an optional value of the product/client's income from one test conversion for a given goal)

For example, when a client makes a Postback for a purchase, he can set up the parameter r = revenue, and then, we accept it. We accept this parameter simply as an amount without reference to a currency since the currency is automatically adjusted to the one in which the client works in our system.

Binom.org support can provide you with assistance in deploying and configuring the Binom tracker on the client's server.

4. Please add conversion stages 1 to 3 (Interest, Desire, Action) below in the Conversion Sensors section. Please note, an existing template or new goals can be chosen if desired.

2

Add a new goal by clicking on the "Add stage" button [1].

Select the Postback tab [2].

Enter the Event Name [3]. (Available statuses - lead, reject, sale. More details are here)

Optionally, you can indicate the conversion cost [4].

Copy the Postback receipt link on MGID’s side [5].

Save the settings [6].

Ultimately, the Postback link should resemble something like this:

https://a.mgid.com/postback?c={externalid}&e={cnv_status}123456&r={payout}

Setup Algorithm on the Binom side

Add an affiliate network.
To do it, go to the "Aff. Networks" section and click on the “Create” button on the left side of the page. You can choose an affiliate network from the catalog or add it manually. Then click on the “Save” button.

4

Add a traffic source.
To do it, go to the “Traffic Sources” section and click on the “Create” button on the left side of the page.

5

Then, click "Load from template", if you want to load a traffic source from a template or enter the name manually. In our case, the source name is MGID.
6

Add the Postback URL you configured on MGID Dashboard earlier:

https://a.mgid.com/postback?c={externalid}&e={cnv_status}123456&r={payout}

Click on the “Use tokens” option if you use tokens. They are needed to transfer the information from the source to the tracker. Add the required tokens and click on the “Save” button to save the source.

Adding an offer

Take the link of the necessary offer from the affiliate network. Then go to the "Offers" section and click on the “Create” button. In an opened window, fill in the name of the offer, paste the offer URL, and add the {clickid} token after the &s2 = parameter.

7

As a result, the link will resemble the following: https://mysite.com/?a=12345&c=6789&s2={clickid}

Select the country, group, and affiliate network. Also, you can insert Postback URL from the affiliate network here.
Set the conversion cost for the offer. You can use the “Auto” option to automatically transfer the cost to the Postback URL. Read more about this feature in this article.

Finally, click the “Save” button.

Adding a landing page

Go to the “Landing Pages” section and click on the“Create” button.

8

Enter your landing page name, URL[3-4].
Select a group for your landing page, or add a new one using the “Add new” option. It is convenient to group by vertical or traffic type[5].
Select the language of your landing page text from the list[6].
Enter the number of offers on the landing page, if there are more than 1; otherwise, you can leave this field blank. As a rule, an offer is used on a landing page[7].
If you want to protect your landing page from direct visits, then place this code at the beginning of the landing page code. Read more in this article.
Click on the “Save” button[8].

9

Creating a campaign

Go to the “Campaigns” section and click on the "Create" button.

10
Enter the campaign name, a group for your landing page, traffic source and set your CPC.

Don't be afraid to make a mistake! You always have the option to adjust the clicks retroactively using the Update costs function.

Choose whether you will use a landing page or you will drive traffic without it, sending the audience directly to the offer. If you want to use a landing page, then click on “Landing page”, and a window will appear. Using the search and groups feature, you can easily find your landing page. After clicking on it, it will appear on the campaign edit page.
Then, click on the “Offer” option. Similar to choosing a landing page, a window will appear. Click on your offer, and it will be added to the page.

11
Click  “Save” to save the campaign. A link that appeared in the "Campaign URL" field will be used to run the purchased traffic. In our example, it will look like this:
http://tracker.com/click.php?camp_id=1&key=28z6qx4x2rupso00l06h&ххх={хххх}&yyy={yyy}&...

You can find information about each of your conversions (lead) in the "Conversions" section in the Binom tracker.

Binom_2

In this section, you can add conversions manually to the tracker. To do this, click on the “Update conversions” button and download the conversion report using the “.csv” button.

Filtering

By using a "clickid" search, you can find the information on a specific conversion. Filtration is available by offers, country and campaign. You can set any time frame for the report.
