Binom.org Tracker Integration

  1. Postback Setup Algorithm

1.Add an advertising campaign to the MGID Dashboard.

2. Enter the parameter/macro in the custom UTM Tracking Tags section in the Dashboard:
  1. s2={click_id}

 Save the changes.

It is important that the s2 you enter in our system corresponds to the same parameter in Binom tracker. This is, where the ready-made Postback link will be entered.

The final offer link will look similar to this:

Here utm_medium, utm_source, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content are the UTM tags settings from ad settings.

Below is our Postback server address.  For this address, you need to send the test conversions in the following format:

  1. https://a.mgid.com/postback?c={externalid}&e={cnv_status}123456&r={payout}

  *123456 is a unique parameter for our system (e.g. campaign ID). This parameter will be transferred to our system alongside the status of the event.

  •  c (equal to our parameter/macro {click_id})
  • e (equal to the lead status. If there are several of them, then this can be a status macro.

For example, lead status is “approved123456”, and the status macro is {cnv_status}

  • r (an optional value of the product/client's income from one test conversion for a given goal. Numbers are allowed.)

For example, when a client makes a Postback for a purchase, he can set up the parameter r = revenue, and then, we accept it. We accept this parameter simply as an amount without reference to a currency, since the currency is automatically adjusted to the one in which the client works in our system.

Binom.org support can provide you with assistance in deploying and configuring the Binom tracker on the client's server.

3. Please add conversion stages 1 to 3 (Interest, Desire, Action) below in the Conversion sensors section. Please note, an existing or a new stage (goal) can be chosen, if desired.

Add a stage (goal) by clicking on the "Add stage" button [1].

Select the Postback tab [2].

Enter the Event Name [3]. If buy123456 is an example, the required value is taken from Binom.org.

  1. event — the triggered event name (new, approved, rejected)

More details are here

Optionally, you can indicate the conversion cost [4].

Copy the Postback receipt link on MGID’s side [5].

Save the settings [6].

Ultimately, the Postback link should resemble something like this:

  1. https://a.mgid.com/postback?c={externalid}&e={cnv_status}123456&r={payout}

  *123456 is a unique parameter for our system (e.g. campaign ID). This parameter will be transferred to our system alongside the status of the event.

4. Log in to Binom.org tracker

Add an offer network (affiliate program).

  1. Go to the Aff Networks section.
  2. Click on the “Create” button on the left side of the page.
  3. Enter the offer network/affiliate program name.
  4. Click on the “Save” button.

 Add a traffic source.

  1. Go to the “Traffic Sources” section.
  2. Click on the “Create” button on the left side of the page.
3. If you want to load a source from a template, then click on the “Load from template” button.

A quick search will help you find your desired template.

4. If there is no required template, enter your source name.

In this case, the source name is MGID.

5. An example of our Postback link:
  1. https://a.mgid.com/postback?c={externalid}&e={cnv_status}123456&r={payout}
    6. Click on the “Use tokens” option if you use tokens.

    Tokens are needed to transfer the information from the source to the tracker; e.g., ad, publisher, campaign number and other parameters.

    7. Add the required tokens.
    8. Click on the “Save” button to save the source.

     Adding an offer

    Take the link of the necessary offer from the partner network.

    5. Go to the Offers section.

    6. Click on the “Create” button.

    7. Enter the offer name.
    8. Paste the copied link in the offer network.
    9. Add the {clickid} token after the &s2 = parameter.

    When switching to an offer, the tracker will replace this token with a unique click id. This will make it possible to receive Postback in the tracker during the offer’s conversions.

    As a result, the link will resemble the following:

    10. Select the country of the offer
    11. Select a group for the offer or add a new one using the “Add new” option.

    We recommend to group by either the offer vertical or traffic type, for your convenience.

    12. Select the offer network.
    13. Set the conversion cost for the offer.

    You can use the “Auto” option to automatically transfer the cost to the Postback URL.

    Read more about this feature in this article.

    14. Click the “Save” button.

    Adding a landing page

    1. Go to the “Landing Pages” section.
    2. Click on the “Create” button.

    3. Enter your landing page name.
    4. Enter the landing page URL.
    5. Select a group for your landing page, or add a new one using the “Add new” option. It is convenient to group by vertical or traffic type.
    6. Select the language of your landing page text from the list.
    7. Enter the number of offers on the landing page, if there are more than 1; otherwise, you can leave this field blank. As a rule, an offer is used on a landing page.
    8. If you want to protect your landing page from direct visits, then place this code at the beginning of the landing page code. Read more in this article.
    9. Click on the “Save” button.

     Creating a campaign

    1. Go to the “Campaigns” section.
    2. Click on the “Create” button.
    3. Enter the campaign name.
    4. Select a group for your landing page or add a new one using the “Add new” option.
    5. Select a source.
    6. Set your CPC.

    Don't be afraid to make a mistake! You always have the option to adjust the clicks retroactively using the Update costs function.

    7. Choose whether you will use a landing page or if you will drive traffic without it, sending the audience directly to the offer. If you want to use a landing page, then click on “Landing page”, and a window will appear. Using the search and groups feature, you can easily find your landing page. After clicking on it, it will appear on the campaign edit page.
    8. Click on the “Offer” option. Similar to choosing a landing page, a window will appear. Click on your offer, and it will be added to the page.
    9. Click  “Save” to save the campaign.

    10. Copy the campaign URL. This is the final URL. You should use it to transfer the purchased traffic. In our example, it will look like this:

    Go to the "Conversions" section in the Binom tracker and select any additional parameters you require; e.g., indicating a period of dates.

    You can find information about each of your conversions (lead) on this page.

     In this section, you can add conversions manually to the tracker.

    To do this, click on the “Update conversions” button and download the conversion report using the “.csv” button.

    By using a clickid search, you can find the information on a specific conversion. Filtration is available by offers, country and campaign.

    You can set any time frame for the report.
