While creating or editing a campaign in the MGID Ads Dashboard, choose the tracking method MGID Pixel via GTM as shown below and save the campaign.
In the Google Tag Manager account (after installing the container on the website), install the MGID Pixel code on all pages of the website. To do this, follow the steps below.
1. Navigate to the Tags section and then click New.
2. Name the Tag (e.g., MGID Pixel) and press the pencil icon to edit the tag configuration.
3. Type MGID in the search field in the Gallery of Templates and choose the MGID Pixel.
4. Fill in the MGID Client ID field and choose Page View in the Event Type field. (Your MGID Client ID is visible when you click on your profile icon in the MGID Ads dashboard.)
5. Press the pencil icon to adjust the trigger.
6. Choose the All Pages “Page view” trigger type.
7. Click Save.
8. To create a Click-based conversion, choose the Tags and then click New.
9. Name the Tag and press the pencil icon to edit.
10. Type MGID in the search field in the Gallery of Templates and choose MGID Pixel.
11. Fill in the MGID Client ID field and choose Conversion to Action in the Event Type field (this is the main goal in Ads Dashboard). You also could choose Conversion to Desire and Conversion to Interest for additional goals (these are additional goals in Ads Dashboard).
12. Click on the pencil icon to edit.
13. Choose Page URL Trigger from the list (if there is no appropriate trigger in this list, click on the + icon to create the desired trigger).
14. Name the trigger and click on the pencil icon to edit.
15. Choose the All Elements Trigger.
16.1. At this stage, you need to investigate the website (via DevTools) and determine the value of the class button, which will be chosen to trigger the setup.
16.2. Fill in the fields as shown below (substituting placeholders with real data) and click Save.
17. This is how the configured tag should appear.
You must click Submit to accept any changes made inside your container.
