Prohibited practices for advertising content New

This section outlines unacceptable advertising behaviors and tactics that may mislead, deceive, or negatively impact user experience.

It focuses not on the product or content itself but on how it is presented to users. This includes the use of exaggerated claims, deceptive messaging, manipulative design elements, or any techniques intended to create false expectations or force user interaction.

Advertisers are expected to ensure that all creatives are transparent, accurate, and respectful of user trust. Even otherwise acceptable content may be rejected if it relies on prohibited practices

Misleading or exaggerated claims
Content must not include unrealistic promises, guaranteed results, or statements that create false expectations.

Deceptive or clickbait messaging
Headlines or visuals designed to mislead, exaggerate, or manipulate user curiosity, including fake urgency, misleading questions, or sensational phrasing, are not allowed.

Indecent or offensive advertising
Content that is vulgar, inappropriate, or culturally insensitive is not allowed.

Phishing and data collection abuse
Content must not attempt to collect sensitive user information under false pretenses or imitate trusted brands, services, or platforms.

Unauthorized downloads, redirects, or forced actions
Ads or landing pages must not trigger downloads, redirects, or any actions without clear and informed user interaction.

Malicious or unauthorized scripts
The use of scripts that manipulate user behavior, inject content, auto-redirect, or perform hidden actions is strictly prohibited.

Content cloaking and post-moderation changes
Advertisers must not alter, replace, or dynamically change content after approval in order to bypass moderation or show different content to users.

Ad-to-landing mismatch
The landing page must accurately reflect the content and promise of the ad. Any mismatch, bait-and-switch, or misleading transition is not allowed.

Deceptive UI and interaction design
Ads must not imitate system notifications, alerts, chat messages, or buttons in a way that misleads users into unintended interactions.

Impersonation and fake endorsements
Content must not imitate real brands, media outlets, public figures, or use fabricated testimonials, reviews, or endorsements.

Fake urgency and pressure tactics
Use of countdown timers, limited-time claims, or scarcity messages that are false or misleading is not allowed.

Blind, misleading, or manipulative navigation
Websites must provide clear navigation and must not use layouts that confuse users, hide exits, or lead to accidental clicks.

Excessive popups, overlays, and interstitials
Pages must not overload users with disruptive elements that block content, repeat excessively, or are difficult to close.

Hidden, masked, or obscured content
Content must be fully visible and transparent. Techniques that blur, crop, or conceal key information are not allowed.

Masking or disguising prohibited content
Sensitive or prohibited visuals must not be hidden behind spoilers, click-to-reveal elements, or misleading thumbnails.

Abusive use of AI-generated content
AI-generated content must not be used to create deceptive, unrealistic, or fabricated scenarios, including deepfakes or false representations of people, products, or results.

Misleading testimonials or user experiences
User reviews, quotes, or stories must not be fabricated, exaggerated, or presented as real if they are not authentic.

Abuse of trust signals
Content must not misuse logos, certifications, “trusted by” badges, or authority indicators in a misleading way.

Inconsistent or dynamic content manipulation
Content must not change dynamically based on user attributes (e.g. geo, device, source) in a way that hides non-compliant versions.

Security bypass or evasion techniques
Any attempt to bypass moderation systems, detection mechanisms, or policy enforcement is strictly prohibited
