Metric Selection
Default Metric Sets by Interface
Introduction
The Metric Selection feature helps you quickly find the metrics you need, create custom column layouts, and work more efficiently with large datasets. Metrics are organized into logical categories and supported by search and column management tools, making it easy to customize your dashboard.
This feature is available across all interfaces that use tables and performance metrics, including:
- MGID Ads main page
- Ads (creatives)
- Widget optimization
- Sources optimization
- Campaign statistics
Metric Selection supports two types of presets:
- Default preset – the system-defined metric configuration
- Custom presets – user-created metric configurations
Presets allow you to switch between different metric views for monitoring, optimization, and reporting. The Customize columns option lets you modify the current metric setup at any time.

Working with Presets
The Default preset is the system-defined configuration. It cannot be renamed or deleted. If you make changes while using the Default preset, you can save the modified setup as a new custom preset.
Custom presets allow you to save personalized metric configurations. You can:
- Create new presets
- Rename existing presets
- Update saved configurations
- Delete presets
Use the preset dropdown menu to quickly switch between saved metric views.
Selecting Customize Columns opens the preset editor, where you can:
- Add or remove metrics
- Reorder columns
- Update the current preset
- Create a new preset based on the current configuration

The editor includes three key areas:
- Categories — browse available metric groups.
- Metric library — search and select metrics within the chosen category.
- Selected metrics — review and reorder the metrics currently displayed in your table.
Available metric categories include:
- Settings
- Performance
- Conversions
- Reach
- Rich media
- Video
- Website engagement
The order of metrics in the Selected Metrics panel determines the column order in the table.
Managing Presets
To create or update a preset:
- Open the preset dropdown menu.
- Select an existing preset or click Customize Columns.
- Choose the desired metric category.
- Search for and add the required metrics.
- Rearrange metrics if needed using drag-and-drop.
- Save your changes:
- Save — updates the current user preset.
- Save as new preset — creates a new preset from the current configuration.
The active preset is highlighted in the dropdown menu and applied to the table automatically. If no custom preset is selected, the system uses the Default preset. You can store up to 10 presets total, including the Default preset.
Available actions for custom presets:
- Rename preset
- Update columns
- Delete

When deleting a preset, a confirmation message is displayed. If the deleted preset is currently active, the system automatically switches back to the Default preset.
